For event door staff

Cohost Scanner

Scan tickets and check in guests at the door — offline-first, on iPhone and Android.

Android isn't on Google Play. You can still install it manually:

Install the Android APK manually

Direct file, not a store install — takes about a minute.

Built for the door

Fast when the line is long. Reliable when the signal isn't.

Instant scan feedback

Point the camera at a ticket and get a clear valid / already-checked-in / invalid result immediately, with the ticket type and attendee name on screen.

Offline-first

The guest list syncs to the phone ahead of time, so scanning keeps working with no signal at the door. Check-ins queue locally and sync back the moment there's a connection.

Built for door staff, not admins

Staff sign in with a scanning ID and PIN for the event — no personal Cohost account, no access to the rest of your dashboard.

How it works

Sign in, sync, scan.

  1. 01

Sign in with the scanning ID and PIN

Your event organizer gives door staff a scanning ID and PIN scoped to that event — nothing else in Cohost is exposed.

  2. 02

The guest list syncs to the phone

Attendee and ticket data downloads before doors open, so the device has everything it needs even if the venue has no reliable signal.

  3. 03

    Scan, and check-ins sync automatically

Every scan is recorded locally first, then synced in the background — on a timer, on pull-to-refresh, or the moment the connection comes back.

Reasonable questions.

Does it need a data connection to work?
No. The guest list is downloaded ahead of time, and scans are checked and recorded on the device even with no signal. Check-ins sync back to Cohost automatically once the phone is back online.
What if two doors scan the same ticket?
The scanner flags a ticket as already checked in as soon as that check-in has synced, so a second door catches a re-entry attempt instead of letting it through.
What's the difference between the iPhone and Android versions?
Same app, same features. iPhone installs from the App Store like any other app; Android installs directly from an APK since it isn't on the Play Store.
