Bring your Cohost events to your WordPress site — on your own domain, in your own branding, rendered natively in your theme. No iframes, no redirect to a third-party ticketing page. The Cohost WordPress plugin pulls your events straight from the Cohost API and renders both the events list and per-event profiles inline, so your storefront stays yours.
What You Can Do
Cohost is a headless platform for event managers — it handles events, attendees, ticketing, scanning, check-in, and workflows. This plugin is the WordPress storefront for that platform, letting you surface your live event data anywhere on your site with two simple shortcodes.
Native Event Listings
Drop [cohost_events] onto any page to render a responsive grid of upcoming events — cover image, date, venue, and summary — styled to blend into your theme. No iframes and no visual handoff to a separate ticketing domain.
Full Event Profiles
Use [cohost_event id="…"] to render a complete event profile: hero image, event metadata, description, and a ticket call-to-action. The id accepts either an event ID or a slug, so you can build clean, readable URLs.
Your Domain, Your Brand
Visitors stay on your site the entire time. Cards link to a configurable Events page using pretty URLs like /{events-page}/{event-slug}, with the same page rendering both the list and the detail view via a rewrite rule.
Perfect For
- Event Organizers: Publish your live Cohost calendar on the WordPress site you already run
- Marketing Teams: Add a branded, on-domain event grid to landing and campaign pages
- Agencies: Stand up a self-hosted event storefront for clients without custom development
- Venues: Showcase upcoming shows with native listings and dedicated profile pages
How It Works
The plugin authenticates with the Cohost API using a personal access token sent as a Bearer token on every request. Event data is fetched from the Cohost API, cached briefly via WordPress transients for performance, and rendered through built-in templates you can override with theme CSS.
Connect with an API token
Generate a personal access token in your Cohost dashboard and paste it into the plugin settings. Every request to the Cohost API is authenticated with that token, so only your events are shown.
Caching
API responses are cached for 60 seconds using WordPress transients to keep pages fast. A manual "Clear API cache" button in settings forces an immediate refresh when you need it.
Templates
A built-in template library ships pre-composed layouts for both the events list and the event profile, applied with a single click from the WordPress admin. Everything is brand-aligned out of the box and fully overridable via your theme's CSS.
Common Use Cases
Embed an Event Calendar
Add [cohost_events] to your events page for an always-current, paginated grid of upcoming events pulled directly from Cohost.
Filtered and Sorted Grids Pass optional attributes to narrow and order what shows. For example, limit results, set a date range, and choose a sort order.
Featured Event Page
Use [cohost_event id="…"] to spotlight a single event with a full profile and ticket CTA, by either ID or slug.
Shortcode Examples
